Bus transport to and from Beitostølen

At Ridderweek, we charter buses from Oslo Airport, Oslo Bussterminal, DFDS boat dock, Bergen and Kristiansand.

IMPORTANT: The bus schedule below is our only organized transport option to and from Beitostølen. There will be no additional buses.

It is the participants’ responsibility to book flights that correspond with the scheduled buses.

Bus transport to Beitostølen

Departure at 09:00 March 19, Bergen (Hotel Terminus) – Beitostølen

Break:
The bus makes a stop at Sognaporten in Aurland.

Route:
Bergen – Dale – Voss – Trengereid – Vik – Håbakken – Bolaugkrysset – Tyinkrysset – Vang / Grindaheim – Beitostølen.

Boarding on the route:
If anyone wants to board the bus after Bergen, we need to be notified in the transportation registration.

Departure 08:00 19 March Trondheim (meet up point at the bus stop on the north side of the train station)

Break:
The bus makes a stop at Sinclair inn, Kvam in Gudbrandsdalen (approx. 45 min – 1 hour).

Route:
Trondheim – Oppdal – Dombås – Otta – Lillehammer – Beitostølen.

Boarding on the route:
If anyone wants to board the bus after Trondheim, we need to be notified in the transportation registration.

Bus 1 Departure at 12:00 March 19, Oslo Bussterminal

Bus 2 Departure at 13:00 March 19, Oslo Bussterminal

The buses run directly without boarding along the way.

Break:

The bus makes a stop at Vardresporten, Nes in Ådalen

Route:

Oslo Bus Terminal – Beitostølen (no boarding)

Departure and arrival service Oslo Bussterminal:
Lions hosts provide luggage and equipment assistance.

Departure and arrival service Oslo Central Station (Oslo S):
Lions hosts can meet participants who come by train to Oslo S. They can assist with luggage and escort to Oslo Bussterminal. Need for assistance at Oslo S must be notified in advance through registration.

The bus makes a stop Valdresporten, Nes in Ådalen.

Route:

Oslo – Hotell Bondeheimen (Oslo Sentrum) – Sandvika Bus Terminal – Hønefoss (v / Ringerike Gjestegaard (v / Esso)) – Hallingby – Tollefsrud (Begnadalen kirke) – Bagn (E16) – Beitostølen

Bus 1 Departure at 12:00 March 19, Oslo Airport Gardermoen

Route:

Oslo Gardermoen – Jaren (ESSO at Hadeland Gjestegaard) – Hov at Fv. 34 – Odnes by Bjørnen – Dokka – Beitostølen

Boarding on the route:

If anyone wants to board the bus after Oslo Airport Gardermoen, we need to be notified in the transportation registration.

Bus 2 Departure at 14:00 March 19, Oslo Airport Gardermoen

This bus goes directly to Beitostølen, without boarding along the way.

Departure and arrival service Oslo Airport Gardermoen:

Lions hosts gather all arriving participants at the designated location in the Arrivals Hall (location will be specified when cleared with Avinor). Lions hosts assist with boarding, luggage and equipment in connection with the bus departures up to Beitostølen.

Flight number:

Those who arrive by plane, and need bus transportation from Oslo Airport Gardermoen must provide arrival time and flight number in an email to service@ridderrennet.no

Arrival from the Nordic countries

From Copenhagen and Frederikshavn we recommend taking a ferry to Oslo, and then bus to Beitostølen. Transport by bus takes approx. 4.5 hours from Oslo.

From Sweden we recommend the train.

The train departs from both Göteborg and Stockholm in Sweden.

From Stockholm – Karlstad – Oslo (approx. 6-6.5 hours)

Several airlines from Helsinki and Reykjavik fly to Oslo. From Finland and Iceland, flights are the fastest and best option, and both SAS and Norwegian have departures. We are scheduling several buses from Oslo Airport Gardermoen (see above).

 

Bus transport from Beitostølen

Departure at 11:00 Beitostølen (Radisson Blu) – Bergen (Hotel Terminus)

Route:
Beitostølen – Vang / Grindaheim – Tyinkrysset – Bolaugkrysset – Håbakken – Vik – Trengereid – Voss – Dale – Bergen

Disembarking along the route:

If anyone wants to disembark along the route, it must be announced in advance in the registration.

Departure at 10:00 Beitostølen (Hotel Radisson Blu) – Trondheim Central Station.

Route:

Beitostølen – Lillehammer – Otta – Dombås – Oppdal – Trondheim

Departure and arrival service Oslo Bus Terminal:
Lions hosts provide assistance with luggage and equipment. They can also escort participants to Oslo S (train station). This must be notified in advance in the registration.

Beitostølen – Bagn (E16) – Tollefsrud (Begnadalen kirke) – Hallingby – Hønefoss (v/Ringerike Gjestegaard (v/Esso)) – Sandvika Bussterminal –  Oslo Bussterminal

It is important that departure time and flight number are registered in the registration form.

Beitostølen – Dokka – Odnes ved Bjørnen – Hov ved Fv. 34 – Jaren (ESSO ved Hadeland Gjestegaard) – Oslo Gardermoen

09:00 Beitostølen – DFDS dock

Break:

The bus makes a stop Valdresporten, Nes in Ådalen.

Route:

Beitostølen – DFDS dock (no boarding)

Departure ferry to Copenhagen at 14:15

Shuttle bus

Throughout the week, there will be two shuttle buses from Radisson Blu at Beitostølen to the ski stadium and back. The buses drives every half hour, and drives between 09:00 and 15:40.

 

  • The first bus from Raddison Blu leaves at 09.00
  • The last bus to Radisson Blu before lunch leaves at 11.30 from the ski stadium
  • The first bus after lunch leaves at 13.00 from Radisson Blu.

 

  • The last bus from Beitostølen ski stadium to Radisson Blu leaves at 15.40.
