Master cross country skiing!

During Ridderweek instructors from the Norwegian Ski Federation will help you become a stronger, more confident skier.

Organized sessions focus on proper skiing technique, cooperation between participant and guide, as well as base training. The sessions are well suited for all skill levels.

Our sessions are adapted for sitting, standing and visually impaired participants.

To ensure the quality of the sessions, there will be a limited amount of participants per session.

Cross country session program

Before lunch :

  • Technique session sitting
  • Technique session standing (for mobility and visually impaired)
  • Interaction between visually impaired participants and guide

After lunch :

  • Technique session sitting
  • Technique session standing (for mobility and visually impaired)
  • Interaction between visually impaired participants and guide

The technique sessions focus on cross-country fundamentals.

The participant and guide interaction sessions touch on how to optimize the communication and interplay between participant and guide through different guide techniques, commands, and timing.

The sessions on Tuesday will match the Monday sessions, and participants who where not able to join the Monday sessions will be prioritized for the Tuesday sessions.

Wednesdays and Thursday are competition days for biathlon and cross country. Additionally, the following cross country sessions are on offer:

  • Base sitting
  • Base standing

These sessions are introductory strength and mobility sessions.

The sessions should not clash with the biathlon or cross country competitions.
